I woke up this morning, just coming out of a very vivid powerful dream, rich with movement, urgency, and loss. It was very emotionally charged, speaking to this moment in life not only for myself but for the collective. It spoke to what we may find when we lose our way.
There are moments when life unravels our plans with exquisite precision. What we thought was a clear itinerary — the next step, the right timing, the way forward — dissolves. So much around us seems to be falling apart.
When everything familiar slips away, what remains is the quiet pull of the soul guiding us home. Not through plans or identities, but through the rhythm of what unfolds, through the quiet insistence of the soul saying, “This way.”
The Dream About Losing The Way
Here is the story that my dream was speaking to — some of it might feel familiar.
Sometimes you think you are running to catch a flight — something meant to lift you up, to take you higher — and you find yourself at a train station instead. Not soaring through the skies, rising to what you might imagine as higher vibrations, but bound to the rails of human life, where you travel with others.
Your hurry, organize, try to hold everything together — for your loved ones, your work, your responsibilities — and in the middle of it all, something gets taken from you. Your plans. Your schedule. All your contacts. Your sense of identity. Even your resources to be able to provide to your children. The small backpack that carried all that represented who you thought you were.
It feels like loss, a big one.
But often, it is initiation. A way to be forced to forget again so you can remember. If you know me, you have heard me before saying how much the spiritual path is just about this constant invitation to forget so you can remember. Well, Spirit has a way of emptying your hands so you can remember how to be guided again — not by plans, but by trust.
Now, because you have been there many times before, you don’t linger and keep going, maybe out of survival instinct. So, in the dream, you immediately move into action.
The path ahead is far from being linear. You might find yourself on water, without a clear direction, trying to find home by memory alone. But your soul has kept an image of the view from the balcony. Your soul remembers what “home” feels like — the center within where love, intuition, and truth align. The feeling of home within you.
My dream was way more complicated than this, but it was very transparent in its meaning.
My Invitation to You — Finding Your Way Within
If you’ve recently lost the map, the rhythm, or the keys — you are not alone. The world can do that to us.
Perhaps it’s because you are being called to travel differently now: more slowly, more deeply, more soulfully.
Perhaps the old forms of protection (the “ID,” the “agenda,” the “keys”, the “credit cards and the money” in your small backpack) are stripped away so that you may stand in a new kind of authenticity.
You are not being invited to “rise above” your human path right now, but to travel deeper within the human journey of your soul — the rails of incarnation. After all, you are first and foremost a soul having a human experience.
You might have hoped to take a flight, maybe escape on your own for a while, but your dream is leading you to a train and to working with others. This time is a time for collective soul work, not for personal escape.
This is an invitation to allow Spirit, your soul, God, the Universe — whichever vocabulary works for you — to reroute you toward a deeper alignment, to bring you, to bring us all back — not to where we were, but to who we are choosing to become.
✨ If you find yourself in that in-between place — between what was and what’s next — this is sacred ground. My story, maybe yours, ours is not about losing — it’s about initiation.
You are being invited to:
- Release control of how and when others follow you.
- Trust that your true identity and direction come from the soul, not from external credentials or plans.
- Accept that, for a while, things may feel chaotic or disorganized — this is the fertile void before new alignment.
- Call back your soul essence — the parts that got scattered in the rush to “catch the train.”
An Integration Ritual
- Create sacred space:
Light a candle, sit outside, by water, whatever inspires you. - Listen to what home is within you
- Call your own “backpack” back:
Visualize it in front of you. One by one, name each item — ID (your true self), money (your flow of abundance), agenda (your rhythm of life and maybe work), keys (your freedom to choose how you want to show up in life).
Ask Spirit to restore their energetic equivalents to you in renewed form. - Offer gratitude for the process
- Journal / take a few notes about what “train” you feel called to board now — not the literal one, but the collective movement your soul feels aligned with, even if it is in a very localized or limited way. No train is better than the other.
Let me know how it goes for you. And, if you find yourself in that in-between place — between what was and what’s next, know that, beyond all the uncertainty and loss, this is sacred ground.
It would be my honor to help you listen for the next step your soul is asking for.
